A preschool student uses a SMART Board
to sort pictures of healthy and unhealthy foods.  

    Pender County Schools Preschool Program recently received a $100,425 grant from the Administration for Children and Families to improve school readiness skills.  The funds were used to install SMART Boards in 14 preschool classrooms across the county.   SMART Boards contain 1,100 ready-made activities along the early childhood developmental spectrum.  The learning system is used daily by preschool teachers and has opened a new learning opportunity for preschool children.
