A Nation WIthout Librarians Interactive Map: librarians across the country have added blue pushpins to document school librarian layoffs and red pushpins to signify a reduction in services.

Destiny v9.0 will be upgraded beginning at 3:00pm to v9.5. Everyone must be off the system.

Media Coordinator Meeting scheduled for November 12, 3:00pm at Trask Media Center.

Each school is to keep records/minutes of your Media Advisory Committee meetings/requests/etc.

Posting the minutes to the Google Dcos is an easy way to keep up with and share the information.


Please remember I will have to collect these records/minutes from each school this year.

Diana Betts (AIG Specialist) will be serving as the Pender County Reading Association President this year. Malpass Corner Elementary will be hosting the meetings!
 
The first meeting will be held Tuesday, October 13th at 4:30 in the Malpass Corner Elementary Media Center!
 
All are welcome to attend. Refreshments will be served at the beginning of the meeting.
 
The guest speaker will be Sara Webster (a local author) who is having her book published as we speak! Her books will be great for teaching foreign cultures, geography, and languages. Her inspiration and main character is a golden retriever named Jackson!
 
It is hoped everyone interested will attend - employees please sign up on the Professional Development Site!
